Visit to West Bay

West bay may sound familiar. It is the setting for ITV’s Broadchurch series. Another Driscoll tour but this this time with the good Mrs Driscoll and her mum. After a visit to the Palmers brewery in Bridport to sample and purchase their wares we went on to West Bay and parked up paying a whole £2 for all day parking (word of warning you will q for the pay machine as there is only one!). Lunch was our first priority and we came across the Station cafe at the long disused station although there are still traces of its former glory

After a lovely cooked brunch and jacket pots for the ladies suitably  refreshed we wandered round West Bay first coming across Molly’s market sited in an old warehouse and then onto the harbour

A nice harbour with all the smells of the sea. Then on to the main event, the cliff face which features in Broadchurch

The beach was busy and I would guess that it is well packed during the Summer very well recommend.
