More Eggesford progress
you may recall that I had brought a layout recently in 3mm. Our Chairman wanted some more space so He offered me his layout based on following South Eastern practice.
The layout was duly picked up over May Bank holiday weekend and now resides in the Driscoll household. The layout has only been partially scienicked so work has started on completing that.
The station layout is based on Bodium and I will need to build the station building. The signal box is a reverse image of Hawkhurst, hopefully with etched windows from Worsley Works.
Here are some pictures of one of the end boards that I have a started.
More changes for London Bridge
One of my fav places
I was lucky enough at the Ally Pally exhibition this year to be given the body and chassis for an SR E4 (Birch Grove on the Bluebell) through MRC member Alan Blackburn who had scratch built the loco for 13.5 gauge in 3mm scale. Funnily enough I had thought of doing a 13.5 layout for the 50th but thought better of it and stuck with 14.2. For the defunct 13.5 project I had brought a scratch aid kit from Worsley Works of an E4 to build and thought ah ha could have a quick loco here for my new layout Wimhurst (more of another time). So out with the Worsley chassis fold up and Branchlines slim line gear and we are on our way.
So watch this space.
