Persuing Perfection Part 2: Pempoul

The art of Pempoul

The Model Railways of Oly Turner and Chris Matthews

Further to our last post in the series on Canada Street, the Persuing Perfection series, (in which we focus on layouts that stand out from the crowd for the modelling on show, no matter what the prototype….) will now travel over to Brittany for a look at Pempoul by Gordon and Maggie Gravett.

I’m sure the layout needs no introduction to most readers, but to summarise it’s a 1:50 scale replica of a station on the metre gauge Reseau Bretagne network in Northern France. I’m sure you’ll agree this modelling is inspiring and aspirational, whatever your prototype interest!
