The joy of 3mm modelling is that if you do anything it takes time not like popping into your local model shop and buying the latest product from Bachman/Hornby and putting it on the track and run it (if that is your bag then good for you it’s your railway at the end of the day).
You may recall that I had the Terrier chassis running prior to adding pickups. Well added the pickups but just cannot get them to make contact, the wire I have is not springy enough so back to the drawing board.
However all is not lost on the chassis front as I have been making a chassis for an LB&SC E2, the body of which I picked up cheap at the 3mm secondhand stall at W Byfleet.
The chassis works prior to pick ups but have used a Linton kits motor with a Branchlines 39:1 midline gear box which with the supposed shortage of motors from Japan seems the way to go.

Wimblehurst Road has been invited to Uckfield in October along with an appearance at Beckenham too so a lot needs doing namely ironing the teething troubles from Croydon, adding lighting and backscene and building more stock, a busy 9 months ahead.
