#SaveTheGlam: Council grants ACV status to historic pub

The Glamorgan: it may last as a pub

A community campaign to try to re-open an East Croydon local pub has achieved its first target, with The Glamorgan on Cherry Orchard Road being declared an Asset of Community Value.

The #SaveTheGlam campaign, led by Addiscombe ward’s Labour councillors, will now seek to persuade the building’s owners to put the pub on the open market, so that a committed pub-operator might buy it and re-open it for the trade that it was built for more than 150 years ago.
