Grace our Boxer is 5 today

Cannot believe that we have had our boxer dog Grace for 5 years. Today is her official birthday and then she has another on April 4th which is when we go her. My wife brought her for me as an early 50th (yes I’m that old!) birthday present.

Snape Maltings

On the way back from the Driscoll Summer break in Great Yarmouth, I came back home on the A12 and made a detour to Snape Maltings near Aideburgh in Suffolk. The Malting’s were turned into a major concert hall by Benjamin Britten when they were closed by the Maltsters in the late 1960’s (Swonnells I believe). The complex is also home to a range of small shops and for a pretty penny, homes. Not much left of the old railway yard outside except a small tree covered office and the former goods agents house. The building is amazing hence the large number of photos and  a couple of Boxer dogs and a Morris Minor to boot.

Meet Grace

I promised awhile back to introduce you to Grace our 4 year old Boxer, here she is

She was brought for me by my wife as a 50th birthday present from a breeder near Cromer in Norfolk. Her kennel name is Aliaws Molly’s Dream. She has such a good nature and like all Boxers full of fun.

My Day 2

No work today suffering the after affects of yesterday. Feel very tired and listless but starting to feel better this evening. It was good to have a decent meal. Back to work tomorrow. Poor Grace has been neglected, no walks but will take her out later. Funny how dogs adapt to you and know that something is up as their daily routine is put out. Seeing the doc in 4 weeks to find out more.

Spot the Boxer!

Meet Grace my 4 year old Boxer. When I get time I will post some more photos of her.

I love Boxer art

This is ‘Sachi.’ My favorite crazy boxer. She lived to plus 13.  She left this world in the beginning of February. Much adored.I was there with my ‘Bad Boxer.’ I still cry and it was hard to work on this portrait. I helped raise her the first three years of her life so we were close. I will forever love boxer dogs. They are so full of fun.

This portrait is for my son John and his wife Aida.

Sachi was the subject for this painting. We used to say fondly that she was evil because she was always in trouble. She was the darlin of Dog Beach in Huntington Beach, California.
