Tonight’s episode of Cuffs on BBC1 featured the Bluebell unfortunately spoilt through a continuity error. The loco (847) is bearing down on the confused old lady on the line engine first and is saved by the Police in the nick of time (sorry to spoil the plot line). The parting shot of the same loco shows it tender first! Someone didn’t check. I suppose I should not complain as the train was on a heritage line so far better than in the past when film and TV companies have period dramas with modern stock. Anyway brings in much need revenue for the Bluebell even if the continuity was wrong.
This has appeared on the Bluebell Railway website in the last couple of days. The Bluebell are having a diesel gala to celebrate the end of the track works which have forced them to use a dmu for the duration. The gala is on the 21st March (Friday). I hope to go but all depends on work and life in general!
